Jesse Roos: Welcome to the first official SAVAGE AMA session!

Remember that the winner of our competition for a brand new Sony Alpha A7III and $500 of the $SAVG Token at IDO price will be announced within 24 hours of the end of the AMA.

Now, let’s get started!

Introducing Hero Creator Chad Copeland.

Chad, please tell us more about yourself.

Chad Copeland: Hey everyone! I’m honored to be with you here today. My background as a creator actually started with National Geographic and led on to countless assignments around the world with the BBC, Microsoft and outdoor brands that were all connected to being mindful about our planet. Somewhere along the way I felt a call to action and wanted to give back. I founded a nonprofit organization called Wild Actual so that humans could revisit their agreements that they’ve made with the wild. Because without a healthy planet, none of this matters. SAVAGE CEO Luke Neumann and I have been working together for a few years now and when he told me that SAVAGE was going to mint carbon neutral NFT’s, I was very excited.

Main Questions:

Luke Neumann: Chad, great to have you here! Let’s jump right to the subject at hand…blockchain and the creative arts.

Have you minted an NFT yet? If so, how did it go?

Chad Copeland: Yeah, I minted 3 images about 6 months ago, before I knew how taxing a single NFT was on the environment. People in my community, National Geographic etc., have also been hesitant to mint because of the ramifications. So, this is HUGE! Artists have a sustainable platform to make money and contribute to a better, healthier future.

Jesse Roos: For sure! We agree! What is the most memorable photoshoot of your career thus far?

Chad Copeland: That’s tough… I’ve been fortunate to have a lot of life altering experiences… swimming with humpbacks beyond the sight of land for weeks, flying the first drone on 6 of 7 continents before people knew what a drone was, being surrounded by wildfire as flames arched overhead and incinerated trees in seconds before my eyes… It’s been a wild ride. The most recent though was flying a paramotor in Iceland and being deathly close to the volcano. That was a bucket list item for me and the content that came out of there was unreal!

Luke Neumann: Sounds incredible! I’ve seen the 8K images and it is amazing content. You are a true hybrid creator in that you shoot stills and motion almost equally. Do you gravitate more towards one than the other? Do you plan on taking advantage of the SAVAGE 2GB upload limits by minting ultra high resolution video?

Chad Copeland: That’s right. My first mints on SAVAGE might have something to do with that expedition. I can’t wait for the world to see what’s coming

My motto is to keep the balance in content creation. I love the science of making images and the anticipation of capturing video. One of the many layers of attraction to SAVAGE is that I can mint a full resolution VIDEO and STILL. No one else is doing that.

Jesse Roos: Why are you excited to be a part of SAVAGE?

Chad Copeland: I’m excited to be a part of SAVAGE for many reasons. Aside from the financial benefit, SAVAGE allows me to create my own way and do so in an eco-wild way. Meaning, good for nature and good for all of us. I love that my community of world class creators also see the benefit and are pouring in. Expect good things from SAVAGE for sure!

Luke Neumann: Sustainability is at the core of your work and the SAVAGE platform. What are you working on now (or in the future) that expands on this idea?

Chad Copeland: My nonprofit foundation is at the core of my work these days. Our partnership with SAVAGE gives us the opportunity to generate impactful stories sustainability and share it with the world through this platform.

Jesse Roos: Awesome Chad, thanks for sharing! OK, now the part you’ve all been waiting for. We will open up the chat for one minute and the community can ask questions.

Chad please select 5 and answer them accordingly. Are you ready?

Jesse Roos: OK, let’s open the chat!

Community Questions:

Q: Can you give us a breakdown of what is in your camera bag? are there any key pieces of gear that you always keep on hand?

Chad Copeland: What’s in my camera bag? I’ve been running RED Digital 8k for the last few years. Beautiful camera for video and is my workhorse! When it comes to stills… I started with Nikon and when Sony dropped the A7R series I slowly migrated over. Some of the strongest images that I’ve ever made have been on the Sony system! I have a Pelican case with the full kit at the door so when Nat Geo calls, I’m ready to roll!

Q: Hey! You mentioned a bucket list that you were able to cross something off of. Are there any other items that you’d like to share?

Chad Copeland: Hey Niki! I’m working on a new series right now with a focus on extreme medicine in the most extreme environment humans explore and I hope to one day go to space. Its in reach now!

Q: In the long run, why should we trust and follow you and savage project? How do you raise awareness and elimination of the doubts of investors / partners / customers?

Chad Copeland: This is a very important question because I ask myself the same thing. SAVAGE and Wild Actual have spent the last year auditing each other and consulting with global professionals to create an honorable dual platform. I would encourage anyone to do their homework and welcome you to give us a shot. Let us earn your business and if you believe in us, share that story with others!

Q: Hi. Does SAVAGE have any educational content to increase the knowledge of photography as well?

Chad Copeland: Hi Nima! Great question! Education is critical and as we learn more, we want to share that with our community. With regard to photography, Wild Actual offers a lot of academic and global expeditions to join. Between the two platforms, this is a move that can be sustainable for people that want to give more of their time to being a creator!

Q: Chad, you have a great background. My hobby is photography. I understand the appeal of SAVAGE. Does this mean that I should become a SAVAGE creator? What kind of creator do you want people to become?

Chad Copeland: Hello Hiro! SAVAGE is a great platform to explore your artistic side and make some cash. That side hustle that everyone enjoys. Keep it fun and enjoy the rewards! I think that we would hope for people to explore what’s unique and important to them and share that with the world. That’s the beauty of art!
