Summary

SAVAGE (https://www.savage.app) is the first community driven and eco-friendly NFT media marketplace focused on Hollywood-quality video and photography.

With a track record of creating content for some of the world’s biggest brands and a combined social media presence of over 12 million followers, SAVAGE is the next generation media and content marketplace.

Main Questions:

Haksik98: Please introduce yourself and the project briefly.

Luke Neumann: Hello! I have worked as a filmmaker for the past decade for major brands like Amazon, Samsung, TCL, Adobe, Panasonic and many more. I created the SAVAGE YouTube channel which currently has over 143,000 subscribers and now we are merging everything from that world into the blockchain world! SAVAGE is the world’s first carbon-neutral NFT marketplace for photo and video. Our mission is to be a place where photographers and videographers of all skill levels can generate income on their work freely, ethically and fairly.

Haksik98: I know Savage is the first community-based green NFT media marketplace but I’m not familiar with what it means. Could you please explain to me what this means?

Luke Neumann: SAVAGE is 100% carbon-neutral. The energy consumption FUD hit the creative communities hard in 2021. Many of our top creators have brand deals with companies like Tesla, National Geographic, BBC, Amazon and more. These brand deals would be revoked if these creators minted NFTs on the current marketplaces and so the majority of them haven’t. There is both a social pressure and a brand pressure that influencers need to maintain. Being carbon-neutral is crucial for our entire team, the marketplace but most importantly, our creators!

Haksik98: If you look at the homepage, it is introduced that Savage’s content is used in famous media including Adobe. But there seems to be no VC information. Please let me know where you received the investment.

Luke Neumann: Our investors include some of the top names in the business: We’re grateful to Faculty Group, FantomStarter, Top7 ICO, CryptoDiffer, tehMoonwalkeR, Boxmining, Crypto Lark, Crypto Banter, Alexander Kondrashov, Juan Sheinix, Vinicious Terranova, Mr. Block, STEEL, MoonBoots Capital, Longterm Ventures, VBC Ventures, Firestarter.fi, CinchBlock, Firm9Zero, Vendetta Capital, AshWSB and others for their support and we are thrilled to have them with us on this journey.

Haksik98: I’m curious about the sale plan of the savg token. Are you planning on doing IEO? That’s what the white paper says, or if you’re thinking of doing an IDO, please let me know what platform you have in mind.

Luke Neumann: We are working towards a dual IEO/IDO launch for the $SAVG token. Stay tuned for more info and dates on this!

Haksik98: What experiences led to the creation of a community-based, eco-friendly NFT media marketplace called Savage? I’m curious about the motive

Luke Neumann: We began to develop SAVAGE after working for legacy stock media platforms and only receiving 50% of the sale. This pushed us to craft something that allowed creators to monetize their work easily, ethically and fairly.

Haksik98: What role does the SAVG token play in the Savage ecosystem? Why should investors hold these for the long term?

Luke Neumann: The $SAVG token fuels our entire creator economy! As we move from our initial release towards full DAO, token ownership will provide governance rights. So the value of the tokens, internally, will increase with every passing month after launch as we implement more and more autonomous features!

Community Questions

Q: Savage is said to be based on Polygon’s proof-of-stake protocol. Then, among the many blockchain networks, why did you choose polygon?

Luke Neumann: Good question! We chose Polygon because it is EVM Compatible and it gives us the most flexibility to move to ETH 2.0 if/when that time comes. There are obviously a lot of great PoS options out there and we discussed the pros and cons of each one. Polygon ultimately gives us the most flexibility now and in the future!

Q: Where does the latest technology your project uses come from? Are you afraid that one day your project’s technology will be obsoleted by other projects’ technology? If that happens, How will you solve it?

Luke Neumann: Another good question! At SAVAGE, we are all creators ourselves and we are always paying attention to the latest developments in the photo/video space. So as long as we keep our eye on the content and the creators, we will always be on the cutting edge!

Q: What is driving Savage to grow? How do you plan to grow your community?

Luke Neumann: The demand for content and content creators in Web3 and the Metaverse! There needs to be intuitive and easy to use platforms in place to make the transition from Legacy to Blockchain happen and that is what we strive to do!

Q: What qualifications do photo artists need to use Savage? Are there any special qualifications required?

Luke Neumann: No qualifications at all, there are 7 billion people on this planet with a camera in their pocket and everyone has the ability to capture really great photos/videos with todays phone camera tech.

Q: Are you planning to make a direct investment to actually protect the environment?

Luke Neumann: Yes, we are working with some amazing NPO’s and partners to ensure we are not only carbon-neutral but we are pursuing real and meaningful changes through the power of creative expression. This will come in the form of documentaries and PSA’s from top creators.
