SAVAGE x Top 7 ICO AMA Recap

Summary

SAVAGE (https://www.savage.app) is the first community driven and eco-friendly NFT media marketplace focused on Hollywood-quality video and photography.

With a track record of creating content for some of the world’s biggest brands and a combined social media presence of over 12 million followers, SAVAGE is the next generation media and content marketplace.

Introduction

Hi, I’m Luke. I’ve been a filmmaker for more than 10 years and I have worked with major brands like Amazon, Samsung, TCL, Adobe and more to create content and build their campaigns. We created SAVAGE to fix some of the issues that have been plaguing content monetization platforms for a long time.

Tony (Top 7 ICO): Now there will be only one, but thorough intro question from us 👌Hope, you’ll answer on it greatly 😉 What are the Top 7 Key Highlights about Savage ?

Luke: Good one, I have to pick only 7?! OK…

Tony: As much as you can:) Just tell us about the most major points about your project. Briefly, or not — totally up to you 👌

Luke:

  1. 98% Creator Payout: This is revolutionary for the legacy creators. Typically, artists are getting anywhere from 30%-50% on stock media platforms.
  2. Carbon-neutral: Many of our key contributors have partnerships with brands like Tesla, BBC, and National Geographic, so creating a zero-emission marketplace was crucial.
  3. Flat $10 NFT minting: High fees have been a major drawback for NFTs until now. Other platforms have fees in the hundreds of dollars.
  4. Rights Managed Contracts in Metadata: Since we were a legacy stock video company before this, we understand just how important Rights Management is for both the artist and buyers protection.
  5. Team NFTs: We wanted to give film crews the ability to split the revenue from the NFT sale, a first in the space!
  6. Future DAO: SAVAGE is dedicated to helping empower creators and in the future, we plan to let them steer the marketplace in the best direction that they see fit.
  7. Stripe Integration: Being able to use a credit card was an essential addition to the platform in order to make NFTs more accessible and increase adoption.

Tony: Thanks 🤘 So, we will start the community round.

Community Questions

Q: Did you consider community feedback/requests during the creation of your product in order to expand on fresh ideas for your project? Many projects fail because the target audience and clients are not understood. So I’d like to know who your ideal consumer is for your product?

Luke: Absolutely! We are all filmmakers and photographers ourselves and we work with a large community of creators so we are always listening to what the market says but also what the creators are saying. SAVAGE is a direct response to the market and the needs of artists.

Q: Do the token holders have the right to participate in the governance of the project? What kind of decisions can they vote on about the project?

Luke: Once we move to a DAO and even before then, yes! Token holders will be able to help shape the marketplace itself and participate in amazing events and competitions with world famous creators

Q: Trust is very important in business, what makes investors, customers and users feel safe when working with your project ?

Luke: Our team and our contributors all have very public and hard fought reputations in the creative industry. Reputations that have taken (sometimes) decades to build. The work being put into SAVAGE is important to those reputations and its success will be largely driven by it!

Q: Do you have any plans to attract non-crypto investors to join your project? Because the success of a project attracts more investors who haven’t yet entered the crypto world. What are the plans to raise awareness about your project in the non-crypto space.

Luke: 7 billion people have a camera in their pocket. Almost everyone in the world has the means to be a “content creator”. If they create something amazing, they can mint it as an NFT on SAVAGE. There is a massive audience of non-crypto people that our marketplace will begin to tap into.

Q: The idea of the project is really unique and incredible, how did this idea come about?

Luke: It really came from a need. If you try to upload a high quality video on any of the existing NFT marketplaces…it’s nearly impossible. File size limits are usually at 50–100MB and high quality videos can sometimes go as high as 1–2GB. So at SAVAGE, we have an upload limit of 2GB to allow creators to showcase their work in the highest possible quality!

Q: How did you build an ecosystem of users, partners, and content creators, bringing best-in-class digital services to emerging markets?

Luke: Through many years of creating content with and for some of the largest brands in the world! Then combining that with large social media audiences to bring the two massive markets together in the crypto space.

Q: Do you have any plan to support more blockchains in the future? What are your cross chain integration plans to gain mass adoption?

Luke: Absolutely! Right now we are on the Polygon chain. We wanted to be EVM compatible in order to easily bridge to ETH 2.0 when it’s ready. After all, Ethereum is where NFT volume lives but we need to remain Proof of Stake and carbon neutral in the present. Eventually we will explore interoperability with other NFT marketplaces as well!

Q: Your project name seems to be very interesting. Does it have any story behind it? Can you share with us the inspiration for approaching this name? Can you share with us your tokenomics? How much is the total and circulation supply of your tokens? Will there be a buy back system or token burning in the future?

Luke: The name SAVAGE is meant to describe our attitude towards the content monetization platforms of old. For filmmakers and photographers, these platforms have stood in the way of their fair share. To make a change in the industry, we need to be aggressive in our approach. The word SAVAGE fits with that attitude.

Q: So many projects just like to speak about the “long term vision and mission” but what are your short term objectives? What are you focusing on right now?

Luke: Announcing our IDO dates and platforms. This will come very soon and we are excited to share this news with the community!

Q: Do you have tutorial videos so we can get to know your project more clearly or do you have a YouTube channel or something? Can you share it with us?

Luke: Our YouTube channel has 143,000 subscribers (please subscribe!): https://www.youtube.com/savageappofficial

Q: While you build your project, do you take into account community feedback and demands?

Luke: Of course! Our creators are the stars of the show. If they see the market going somewhere, we listen to them and try to make those changes before anyone else.

Q: COVID 19 has slowed down many economies around the world but as a crypto business, does it affect you negatively or positively? Are you still on track to achieve your goals or are you planning a new development?

Luke: COVID 19 had an interesting effect in media and entertainment. People were locked inside and they were starved for new content. Yet, productions had to stop filming so there were less “new shows” being released. There was a major spike in demand for content and stock media content specifically. SAVAGE will be involved in these markets and help deliver content to the customer.

Q: Staking is one of the strategies to attract users and hold them long term. Does your great project have a plan about staking?

Luke: Yes, token holders will have many options with their $SAVG. From generous liquidity mining, to governance and free NFTs from world renowned creators. We are planning some very fun and exciting things for you!

Q: How do you avoid copyrights issue? What mechanism are in place to help ascertain that only the true owners of the music will be able to record their music into a forever registered NFT on blockchain?

Luke: Great question! We are working with many creative royalty attorneys and firms on Rights Managed contracts to go into the actual metadata of the NFT. This is something that will protect both the buyer and the seller and should be boilerplate for all NFT marketplaces moving forward, in our opinion.

Q: What is the most ambitious goal of your project? Could share with us any upcoming updates?

Luke: It’s all ambitious from our point of view! We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring it to market! Seeing creators monetize and then sell their content will be our proudest moment and we cannot wait!

Tony : Great AMA ! Thanks for joining us today.

Luke: Thanks for having me Tony and the Top 7 community!!
