Team Spotlight #1: Luke Neumann (CEO)
SAVAGE is thrilled to introduce its CEO, Luke Neumann.
Luke is an independent filmmaker, director, and multimedia company owner.
He has been passionate about filmmaking since an early age. A grassroots creator from the Pacific Northwest, he was particularly interested in telling stories that combined a visual flair with an emotive soul. He especially loves creating works that examine humanity and our connection with nature.
His desire to share his stories with the world led to him adopting YouTube as a means to share content very early in the platform’s existence. Luke built a community of over 140,000 subscribers and was the first to post 8K videos to the platform. “Ghost Towns in 8K” currently has over 8.6 million views, while the entire channel has garnered over 24 million!
In 2009 he founded Neumann Films, a multimedia company that specialized in helping filmmakers create their own films. This was done by reviewing new cameras and teaching them about every aspect of filmmaking. In 2018 he co-founded Savage Stock Media with SAVAGE CFO Ben Weintraub, which was the world’s first 8K+ stock video site.
Clients of Neumann Films and SAVAGE include TCL, Panasonic, Amazon, Ubisoft, Universal, Adobe, Samsung and more.
The concept of SAVAGE was born out of Luke’s love of film, his commitment to high-quality content, and above all, his connection with the creator community. SAVAGE integrates a carbon-neutral NFT marketplace, to ensure that high-definition video content, sold at a price that’s fair to its creators, does not have to come at the cost of the environment.
